Custom rotor software developed by Rotor Design Solutions is written in C# and is compatible with all 32 and 64 bit Windows software versions. The rotor software is written in a modular format that allows the complexity of the program to be adjusted to the needs of the end user. This makes the rotor software cost effective and easy to use.
RDS offer the following software options for all helical screw components, including:
Rotor shape generation
Rotor Software to generate screw profile shapes with adjustable clearance gaps that give comparable performance to current Industry standard products.
Rotor Tooling shape calculations
The software will also calculate tooling to manufacture the rotors using a disk grinding or milling tool for specialized rotor manufacturing machines or an end mill for CNC machining centers.
Profiles for both rotors and tools will be made up of x and y coordinates and will describe a 2 Dimensional section. These coordinates may be exported from the software in various formats.
- TXT: This format reads into text editors such as Notepad or Microsoft Word.
- CSV: This format reads directly into Microsoft Excel and similar spreadsheet packages.
- DXF: This format reads directly into Solidworks and AutoCAD and similar engineering drawing packages.
